il buono, il malo, e il cattivo

 Non riesco a credere che per 4 giorni sono riuscito a scrivere in italiano senza una pausa. Devo impegnarmi un po'. Altrimenti, quando arriverò lì non potrò parlare italiano. 

 Ieri ho cucinato la colazione per tutta la famiglia. C'era un sacco di cibo in frigo, quindi ho dovuto cucinarlo tutto, prima che andasse a male. Ho cucinato del uovo, un pacchetto di salsicce, del pane tostato alla francese. 

La mia famiglia ha apprezzato il cibo che ho cucinato. Penso che cucinerò ancora qualche volta. Ed è molto soddisfacente cucinare, perché posso risparmiare denaro. 

Lost a bit of Italian time yesterday due to aforementioned activity. Still working on getting as much Italian listening practise in as possible - I can recommend a few podcasts that do not require the viewer to see what is on the screen (which is generally puerile anyway) - Nova Lectio and GeoPop really do cover a wide spectrum of things without being too offensive, and as much as I hate to say it, listening to stuff that you know about in Italian is pretty boring but becomes a form of spaced repetition, and I can assure you it works like a charm. I think that expression is literally translated as "funziona come un fascino" but really I have never heard it being said in an Italian video, and I would imagine it really is "funziona a meraviglia".
